Mr Bharath Puttur is a Locum Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Northwest Anglian NHS Foundation Trust with over a decade of NHS consultant-level experience and a special interest in advanced dental implantology and facial reconstruction.

He treats a wide range of conditions affecting the face, jaws, and mouth — from complex dental implant and bone grafting procedures to facial trauma, craniofacial reconstruction, and head and neck surgery. He has particular expertise in distraction osteogenesis, orbital and craniofacial trauma repair, TMJ (jaw joint) surgery, and the use of 3D virtual planning and custom implants to achieve precise, personalised results for his patients.

Mr Puttur currently practises as a Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is Clinical Director at The Ackerman Clinic in Hampshire. He trained across leading centres in Peterborough, London, Coventry, and internationally in Austria, and holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FDS RCPS) and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS).

Beyond his clinical practice, Mr Puttur is deeply committed to the education and development of surgical colleagues. He has held the role of Educational Supervisor within the East of England Deanery, Panel Member for the National Recruitment of Junior Doctors through NHS England, and Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is also an international faculty member for S.O.R.G (the Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Group) and for KLS Martin’s trauma reconstruction courses, and is recognised internationally as a Key Opinion Leader and mentor.

Mr Puttur regularly speaks at national and international conferences on topics ranging from complex mandibular distraction to Preprosthetic Surgery and will be presenting at the Royal Society of Medicine and S.O.R.G in Las Vegas.

Mr Puttur’s surgical background makes him uniquely qualified to offer non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments. Where many practitioners approach aesthetics from a cosmetic standpoint alone, Mr Puttur brings a consultant surgeon’s understanding of facial anatomy, tissue planes, vascular structures, and the complex interplay between bone, soft tissue, and skin.

His years of experience in craniofacial reconstruction, surgical dermatology, and advanced implantology mean he understands the face in three dimensions, knowledge that is essential for safe, natural, and precise aesthetic outcomes. This depth of expertise allows him to assess facial ageing holistically, avoid the anatomical danger zones that carry risk in less experienced hands, and deliver results that enhance rather than alter — a philosophy he shares in his lectures around the world.
